Everyone remembers their first love... This blog is a collection of WWII letters sent during the year 1945 by a young Marine to Franie, the girl on the front porch. Letters will be posted as they "arrive".
Wick began writing to Franie in 1944. The early letters can be found by visiting the blog "The Girl on the Front Porch 1944".
Its 1945 and a visit from Wick has been a wonderful way to start the new year. He is spending time with his family in Indiana now and will be returning to the Front all too soon. My resolution for 1945 is to write frequently to Wick and my brother.
