I think this is a laundry stub from somewhere near Okinawa. Wick likes to send small bits of places he has been. Japanese woodblock designs like this one are created for everyday use, but Western visitors find them enchanting.
Everyone remembers their first love... This blog is a collection of WWII letters sent during the year 1945 by a young Marine to Franie, the girl on the front porch. Letters will be posted as they "arrive". Wick began writing to Franie in 1944. The early letters can be found by visiting the blog "The Girl on the Front Porch 1944".
